Project Management: Kelby Construction will always have a Project Superintendent / Manager on every project to oversee and direct work being performed by general staff and sub contractors. Kelby Construction Inc. communicates directly with all contractors/designers concerning project cost, staffing, and scheduling, to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget costs. We also prepare project status reports and work to ensure plans adhere to project specifications. In addressing working capital requirements for the course of the project, Kelby Construction Inc. utilizes a fully integrated job cost accounting system.


Construction Estimating:
Our estimating department uses the latest technologies in the estimating field to accurately calculate construction costs in order to ensure an adequate return on the resources employed. Kelby Construction and engineering cost estimators have successfully prepared bids on $100 million worth of combined highway and vertical projects.

Subcontractor: On large concrete related projects greater than $350K, the firm will generally bid as a subcontractor under one of its strategic partners. In particular, to ensure that it has adequate capacity, Kelby Construction will Joint Venture with Starlings Concrete Forming, Inc.

Field and Operations: The health and the safety of each employee and subcontractor is of a primary concern at Kelby Construction Inc. As such, all employee and subs working under the company are required to have OSHA certification. Each Project Manager / Superintendent will be required to have advanced level certification so that they are qualified to monitor project safety. To ensure this, it is a requirement that all employees attend and complete annual training. When it comes to safety related issues, our goal is to identify the problem before anyone else does and, correct it promptly.
